Private One-to-One Violin Lessons for Adults
It’s never too late to learn the violin — whether you’ve always dreamed of playing or want to return to it after a break. My one-to-one adult lessons are relaxed, encouraging, and tailored entirely to your goals and pace. I work with complete beginners, those revisiting old skills, and advanced players who want to refine their technique or confidence.
Lessons take place in my dedicated music room in Hove, providing a calm, focused environment to explore music at your own rhythm. My aim is to make each session enjoyable and rewarding, helping you build both skill and a deeper connection to the instrument.
Lesson Structure & Focus
Every student learns differently, so I design each lesson around your experience level and personal aims. Together we’ll work on:
-
Building solid technique, posture, and bow control
-
Strengthening tone, intonation, and musical expression
-
Sight-reading, rhythm, and ear training
-
Exploring a mix of classical and contemporary repertoire
-
Preparing for ABRSM or Trinity exams (if desired)
-
Building confidence to perform — even if just for friends or family!
Some adults enjoy a structured approach with regular goals, while others prefer to play for relaxation and personal enjoyment. I’ll help you find the right balance to suit your lifestyle and aspirations.

My role is to make learning enjoyable, achievable, and inspiring at every stage.
