Sharing my love of the violin through teaching is one of the most rewarding parts of my musical life. I believe everyone can learn to play beautifully with the right guidance, encouragement, and enjoyment. Whether you’re a child picking up the violin for the first time or an adult rediscovering your passion for music, my lessons are tailored to your goals and pace. With over 25 years of teaching experience, I aim to create a supportive space where every student can grow in confidence, skill, and musical expression.
Learning the violin helps children grow in confidence, focus, and creativity. I offer fun, supportive one-to-one lessons tailored to each child’s pace and personality. With many years teaching in both state and private schools, I create an encouraging space in my Hove music room where young players can develop strong technique and a love of music.
Teaching Violin In Schools
I teach violin across several state and independent schools in Sussex, providing both individual and small-group lessons. With over 25 years’ experience and full DBS certification, I focus on building technique, confidence, and enjoyment in every student. My lessons support strong progress in both playing and graded exams.
It’s never too late to learn or return to the violin. I offer personalised lessons for adults of all levels — from complete beginners to advanced players. My approach is relaxed and encouraging, helping you reach your goals, whether that’s playing for pleasure, preparing for exams, or joining an ensemble.

I offer clear, engaging music theory lessons that make understanding music enjoyable and practical. Whether you’re studying for ABRSM exams or want to deepen your knowledge, I tailor each session to your goals — helping you connect theory with real playing and musicianship.
